Review Methodology

How we compare tools, explain our evidence and make recommendations for different needs.

OUR REVIEW APPROACH

A clear basis.
A useful comparison.

A recommendation is most useful when readers can understand how it was reached. These standards guide reviews and comparisons in the ELVARYXA journal. Each article should make its evidence, scope and limitations clear.

Direct use

Observations from actual use or testing, with the relevant tasks, conditions and limits explained.

Source research

Analysis based on documentation and other identified sources, without implying personal testing.

Mixed approach

Direct observations alongside source research, with a clear distinction between the two.

01 / STARTING POINT

The reader’s question

We aim to start with a practical question: what does the reader want to do, and which differences would affect that decision?

Our core subjects include AI tools, websites, technology and online business. Each review or comparison should explain its intended audience, the options considered and the relevant task or use case.

Selection may reflect relevance, availability, budget and the scope of the article. A short comparison should not imply that every available option has been evaluated.

02 / EVIDENCE

What the review is based on

A review should identify whether its conclusions come from direct use, source research or a combination. Terms such as “tested” and “hands-on” require actual use that supports the claim.

For features, pricing and technical requirements, we prioritise official product pages, documentation, help centres and published terms. Other sources may add context, but a provider’s claim or another person’s experience should not be presented as our own observation.

Important factual claims should have relevant supporting references. Where a detail remains uncertain or sources disagree, the article should explain the uncertainty.

03 / COMPARISON

What we consider

The criteria depend on the subject and the reader’s task. Relevant factors may include:

  • Functionality: whether the product supports the work described.
  • Ease of use: setup, navigation, learning effort and practical workflow.
  • Output quality: results observed in the tasks actually completed, with examples where useful.
  • Compatibility: supported devices, platforms, integrations and export formats.
  • Costs and limits: pricing, renewal terms, usage allowances, required extras and plan restrictions.
  • Relevant terms: privacy information, commercial-use permissions and other conditions affecting the intended use.

Articles should identify material differences by plan, country, currency, device or software version. Features and published policies alone do not establish long-term reliability, security or performance.

04 / DIRECT CHECKS

Tasks, examples & limits

When direct testing is performed, the article should describe the tasks completed and the conditions that matter. These may include the plan, device, software version, settings and timing of the checks.

Comparisons should use reasonably consistent conditions where practical. Differences in access or test conditions should be explained when they affect the result. Screenshots, examples and measurements must reflect the work actually carried out.

A short trial supports observations about that trial. It does not establish performance in every situation. We do not invent benchmarks, testing periods, results or product experience.

05 / CONCLUSIONS

Recommendations & ratings

Recommendations should follow from the evidence and stated criteria. We aim to explain who an option may suit, where it falls short and which trade-offs matter.

A label such as “best for beginners” should relate to the audience and options covered in that article. The order of entries in a list is a ranking only when the article identifies it as one.

Numeric ratings are optional. If used, the article should explain the scale, criteria and any weighting that affects the result. Missing evidence should be acknowledged rather than converted into an invented score.

06 / RESEARCH TOOLS

AI assistance

AI tools may assist with organising information, planning comparisons or drafting explanations. ELVARYXA remains responsible for checking the material it publishes.

Generated text is not proof of a feature, price or test result. Claims and references require verification against relevant sources. AI-generated examples must not be represented as evidence of product use that did not happen.

Illustrative or generated material should be identified when its nature affects how a reader should interpret it. Our Editorial Policy explains our wider publishing standards.

07 / TRANSPARENCY

Commercial relationships

A review may include affiliate links or involve review access, a sample or another material benefit. Relevant relationships should be disclosed clearly so readers can assess the context.

Sponsored content and paid placements should be identified. Payment, free access or an affiliate arrangement must not buy a favourable verdict or suppress a material limitation.

Advertising should be distinguishable from editorial conclusions. See our Affiliate Disclosure for further information about affiliate relationships.

08 / KEEPING CONTEXT

Updates & corrections

Products, prices and terms can change after a review is published. Dates and relevant version details help readers understand the context. An updated date should reflect a substantive review or change.

We aim to review credible reports of factual errors and important changes. A significant correction should be explained where appropriate. A review’s conclusions may change when the supporting evidence changes.

To report an issue, email contact@elvaryxa.com with the article URL, the relevant passage and supporting information. Read our Corrections Policy for the reporting route.
